ABOUT THE AREA

The area known as Noosa's North Shore encompasses the land situated opposite Noosaville and Tewantin taking in the Cooloola National Park and the small village of Teewah . Teewah township is a small oceanfront settlement located about ten km north of the mouth of the Noosa River along a beautiful sandy coastline. Originally named 100 years ago as Forty Mile Beach and still referred to as such by some locals, this little fishing village is changing face with only a handful of the early huts still standing - most being upgraded or replaced with modern up-market homes. Very few of the original owners of the first 24 blocks remain as it is now over 40 years since those blocks were developed.

Teewah village locals are now enjoying the connection of power together with the other North Shore residents.

The first paying ferry across the Noosa River came into operation in 1964, and currently there are two car ferries operating for residents and visitors to the North Shore . Tourist 4WD access to Teewah and up to Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point is still dependent on the changing tides. The North Shore retreat offers a great place to stop and get a bite to eat or drink and is used by many residents for every day amenities without having to come back across to Tewantin.

MARKET REPORT

There has been some activity on the North Shore over the last three months, with the last land sale settling earlier this year which was a 599m2 block in Teewah village for just over $667,000.00. This sale was a record for the area for a non beach front block and sold in less than 7 days.

RE/MAX is proud to be associated with the areas of North Shore and the Teewah village with many appraisals being done recently in both areas. Property in these areas is tightly held and as the area of Noosa's North Shore is seen by many as a very valuable commodity for future investment it's not hard to see why. While only a few original residents remain, new blood with new money see this potential and we are seeing great redevelopment of the older homes which will certainly add to the value of this unique area for many many years to come.

The official development  Noosa North Shore  is also starting to make changes in the area of the hotel.
