Nambour Medical Centre

Established in 1965, Nambour Medical Centre has been caring for the local community for almost 50 years.

In 1985, Dr Wendy Welsh purchased the practice and moved NMC to its present site in 1989. Together with Dr Juliet Gallagher and Dr Penny Sinclair, the practice was all female until it amalgamated with Nambour’s Howard St Medical Centre in 2002. Dr Geoff Norman and Dr Andrew Wall provided a gender balance and since then the practice has continued to grow.

Much of the original Queenslander facade and structure remains intact although obviously the building has been renovated and expanded to its current form. NMC now has 11 GPs, all of whom have an enthusiastic commitment to the highest quality of medical care.
