Main Beach, Noosa
Noosa's Main Beach is one of very few north-facing beaches in Australia. Due to the currents and the way the bay is formed, waves here are small so family swimming activities are safe. It's a popular spot for learn-to-surf schools and fishing is popular near the mouth of the Noosa River. Other beaches can be accessed on foot within Noosa National Park, but please note these beaches are not patrolled by life guards so do not offer safe swimming environments. Stick to Main Beach for the best, cleanest and safest surf swimming and water play in Noosa.
