The Sunshine provides a range of study options for all ages. At present the Sunshine Coast is host to one university, the University of the Sunshine, which is one of Australia's newest universities and offers a range of study options in idyllic settings.

In regards to other tertiary institutions there are several Sunshine Instititute of TAFE's that have campuses all over the Sunshine Coast.

There also exists some educational support centres which include school support centres and various other facilities. Of course, there is also an abundant supply of both primary and secondary schools within both the public and private sectors.

Sunshine Coast Primary Schools

The Sunshine Coast has a variety of state primary schools available. With state funds being injected into the Queensland schooling systems in a bid to maintain our reputation as the 'Smart State', parents can be assured their children are recieving some of the best education available.

Sunshine Coast High Schools

With its central location, the Sunshine Coast is just a short drive from the capital and various other points of interest and resources in relation to education. The secondary schools on the Sunshine Coast generally cater for the age group of grade 8 to 12. However there are some private schools that cater for both primary, middle and secondary year levels.

Sunshine Coast Private Schools

The Sunshine Coast has a variety of private schools that cater to both non, single and multi-denominations, are gender specific or mixed, and located throughout the region. Sunshine Coast TAFE

The Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE (Technical and Further Education) network has campuses all over the Sunshine Coast in locations such as Maroochydore, Nambour, Gympie, Mooloolaba, Noosa and Caloundra and services over 16,000 students. The TAFE provides students with a varied assortment of courses.

Sunshine Coast Universities

The University of the Sunshine Coast is one of Australia's newest universities. USC is a brilliant, fast-growing institution that covers a broad selection of curriculum keypoints. Currently USC has over 2,500 student enrolments with faculties that include Business, Arts, Social Science and Science.

Queensland School Holiday Dates

Queensland's school holiday dates are set by the Department of Education, Training and the Arts. Private schools base their holidays around the state school dates but often start earlier and end later.
