Four of the distinctive mountains; Beerwah, Tibrogargan, Ngungun and Coonowrin are actually the remnants of volcanic plugs and are each protected by separate National Parks that offer bushwalking, picnicking and rock climbing.

Montville Hinterland and Rainforest

The Montville area is home to a variety of attractive natural features. Explore the hinterland and rainforests of the Sunshine Coast. Walk through a rainforest full of wildlife. Valley Rattler

Take a trip back in time and board the vintage steam engine train, the "Valley Rattler". The track provides a picturesque rail journey through the the Sunshine Coast Hinterland countryside. It's a relaxing day of passing through many of the quaint little towns of the surrounding areas.
