Wheely good tours on road to Caloundra
Caloundra and neighbouring regions has become much more accessible for disabled visitors thanks to WheelAdventures motorcycle tours.
The new business specialises in customised rides and tours for chair-bound and mobility-challenged people to help them experience Queensland's picturesque Sunshine Coast in a motorcycle sidecar which is specially designed for wheelchairs.
WheelAdventures operates across the Sunshine Coast and tours include the hinterland, Glass House Mountains, or coastal beaches, or make up your own itinerary. Pricing ranges from $120 an hour up to a full day at $650.
There’s an adventure to suit everyone. Whether it's a quick run along the region’s fabulous beaches and tourist strip, whizzing through the countryside, or zooming along the amazing arts and crafts trail.
Prices include the option of a carer or friend travelling for free as a pillion and includes a free pick up and drop off service to most areas.
Wheelchairs are supplied or if suitable the passengers can bring their own wheelchair.
Tours operate 7 days a week, 8am - 5pm, and whether you’re 16 or 60, they can design a safe, fun and exciting riding experience.
