Sunshine Coast Hinterland Accommodation

The Sunshine Coast hinterland is vast and is made up of many different places where you can stop and rest including areas around the Glass House Mountains, Maleny, Montville and Mt Coolum. The Hinterland is a great place to escape to when the weather gets way too hot however you’re still close enough to drive down the mountain, past idyllic farms to the beach where you can also cool off.

There’s a host of homey Bed and Breakfasts, luxurious retreats, ‘green’ resorts, cottages and holiday homes all with amazing views of the country side and coastal Queensland. It’s a region like no other with quaint country towns full of antique stores and sweet cafes, there’s also fine dining options and country markets where you can stock up on local produce.

Glass House Mountains Accommodation

The iconic, rocky formations inland from the Sunshine Coast were named by James Cook as they reminded him of the glass-making furnaces of his home town. For locals they are the scenic gateway to the Sunshine Coast and a beautiful National Park. The suburb is a naturally relaxed area with spectacular lookouts, picnic grounds, bush trails, and fresh mountain produce such as avocados, pineapples, strawberries and paw paws.
