The Ginger Factory, pioneer road, Yandina. The Ginger Factory is a multi award winning amusement establishment. Here you get an education on the cooking and use of ginger. You can also by specially made ginger-based foods and even take a ride on an historic train. The Sunshine Plantation " The Big Pineapple", Woombye. The big pineapple is one of Queenslands best pineapple plantations. It is open every day from 9am to 5pm with some restrictions on public holidays. You can receive an interesting education into pineapples and the processes around their harvesting. Aussie World "Ettamogah Pub" & Tourist Park, Bruce Highway between caloundra and Maroochydore.
Aussie World is a free tourist park that has some very Aussie based attractions, shopping and dining facilities and a showcasing of some local arts and crafts. There is also the Ettamogah Pub which is based on a comic book cartoon and is very humerous with lots of little abstract features that make it well worth the look.
"The Deer Sanctuary", Forest Glen The Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary offers you the opportunity to hand feed hundreds of free-roaming deer and Australian native animals. You can drive through their natural bushland and rainforest habitat. Interact with other Australian native animals through their wildlife shows. "Super Bee", Forest Glen The Forest Glen Super Bee is a place that many bee and honey related activities and exhibitions. There is the Beekeeping Show that demonstrates Bee handling and honey extraction. There is also the free honey tastings with Australia's largest range of pure honey flavours. If your looking to purchase some unique Honey-related merchandise such as health products, honeycomb, honey drinks, beeswax and, of course, honey. The park is set on 7 acres that includes rainforest walks, lagoons and beautifully landscaped gardens. You can visit the Three Bears Cottage, Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, The House tha Jack Built and enjoy merry go-round rides, mini-golf and ride in electric cars.
