Dr Jessica Featherston studied Osteopathy at Victoria University, Melbourne. She completed her Bachelor of Clinical Science in 2003 and a Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) in 2005. In 2007 Jessica relocated from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast, working in Caloundra for 4 years. In 2010 Jessica opened Bodyworks Osteopathy in Maroochydore. In July 2013 Bodyworks Osteopathy relocated to Buddina to help service both the Caloundra and Maroochydore areas.
Jessica has completed further studies in Trigger Point Dry Needling and Pilates Rehabilitation. She also has a special interest in pre and post natal care, and is currently expanding her studies and treatment into paediatric care. Jessica treats not only back and neck injuries but a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, with a keen interest in Sports Injuries after working in Melbourne at several football clubs as a Sports Trainer and Osteopath.
Jessica enjoys treating a wide range of patients from children to the elderly, and adapts her approach to suit each individual. She uses a wide range of techniques including spinal mobilisation, manipulation, ultrasound and soft tissue massage and stretching. Jessica believes in treating the patient with a holistic approach, making sure to get the full picture. She also encourages use of at home stretching and exercise programs, whilst also offering ergonomic and postural advice.
