Sunshine Coast Fishing

Located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean and with many waterways, creeks, estuaries and rivers, the Sunshine Coast offers a multitude of fishing opportunities. There are heaps of tour operators offering half, full and multi day fishing trips, or if you want to go it alone you can hire your fishing gear.

If you're not a local, try asking around at one of the many fishing tackle and bait shops dotted around the Sunshine Coast. They'll be able to point you in the right direction, whether you prefer surf fishing, reef fishing or fishing in one of the calmer lakes and estuaries. If you don't mind a drive, take a trip to Borumba Dam, located about an hour's drive west of Noosa and often referred to as a fisherman's paradise, with large stocks of Perch, Bass and Cod.
